IMPACTED FOR CHRIST
In I Timothy 2:9-10 Paul addresses Christian women, but the principle of what he says applies to men and women alike: “Let the emphasis of our life be `adornment’ with works glorifying to God.”

“All religions lead to God.” Baloney! That is one of the most ludicrous statements man can make. They can’t all lead to God because they contradict each other! This being the case, either they are all false or only one can be true. The wise individual will examine the claims, study the evidence, then make a sincere “head and heart” commitment.
The next time you are tempted to retreat from a problem, a spiritual conflict, a “Goliath” of some kind, stand your ground! Don’t be intimidated! Still, yourself in God’s presence, realizing that one with Him is a majority! He is there and will save you and strengthen you — count on it! That’s the promise Isaiah provides in 30:18: “Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; He rises to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him.”
A most valuable lesson to learn from our predecessors is the importance of creating a godly image. Of this, Jesus Himself said, “You are the light of the world…let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14, 16).
When we say “God is sovereign,” we mean God controls every event, every outcome in history. Nothing escapes His notice or approval, and everything works for His own glory and purposes. This is clearly the psalmist’s understanding in Psalm 115:3: “Our God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases.”
“History is, and must ever continue to be, next to God’s Word, the richest foundation of wisdom, and the surest guide to all successful practical activity.”
Jesus said “The one who obeys Me is the one who loves me.” That’s the bottom line.
“Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you” Hebrews 13:17.
In the Bible, God has established the parameters, and He says, “Stay within these and things will be great; cross the line and there will be consequences!”
Through faith in Him alone, we are pardoned, we are justified, acquitted of our sins. The Father’s just-wrath was poured out on Jesus at His crucifixion. We receive the awesome gift of forgiveness solely by faith in Christ and what He did for us.
