A FEW GOOD MEN
God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time.

You stand before God as if you were Christ, because Christ stood before God as if He were you.
In a loving, healthy home a kid shouldn’t have significant cares because they know Mom and Dad will be there to support, guide, encourage, protect, and provide whatever is needed. That is God’s design for the family.
Every subjective experience must measure up to the objective teaching of the Word of God. In other words: our feelings must line up with the facts.
It will serve us well if we can accept the fact that problems are a part of life. We can’t escape it. Disappointment, betrayal by those closest to us, failure, loss, sickness — these are normal and to be expected. It’s all because of the nature we have, the world we live in, and the enemy of our souls. It’s most fortunate for us Christians that we have sure promises, in the Bible, that every moment and every incident in our lives come only by Divine sanction. Everything has a good purpose behind it, though we may not see what that purpose is until we meet our Savior face-to-face.
Every one of us misunderstands at least some portions of the Bible and are ignorant on at least some aspects of doctrine — regardless of how long we have been believers; regardless of how familiar we are with the things of God. Thankfully our salvation is not dependent on perfect knowledge of God’s truth(s)!
Let’s be on guard concerning the tendency we all have to stereotype people.
Though God does on rare occasions literally call out to us, His voice more often than not takes the form of His leading our lives in specific ways — Scripture reading, sermons, a friend’s counsel, conscience, open/closed doors, etc. He is leading; all we need do is follow.
Sometimes near-death experiences happen to people who are walking with God. For His own reasons, He allows those. Sometimes we learn why and sometimes we don’t. But there are also those times when the Lord has a wake-up call in mind: “He is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” (II Peter 3:9)
