Jesus gave James (and his brother John as well) the name Sons of Thunder! James was zealous for Jesus, intolerant of evil. He feared no man, only God. In fact, in church tradition, he is known as James the Great to distinguish him from James the Less, the son of Alpheus (one of the Twelve).

Concerned about having a positive impact for Jesus? The greatest thing we could ever hope to do is to simply be real, sincere followers of Christ. God will take care of the rest.
God may let the sinful world [unbelievers] succeed in their forbidden schemes, but, blessed be His name, He does not allow His chosen ones to prosper in the path which leads them out of His holy will! Make Jesus Christ the most important person in your life. He is Lord of all and He says you’re acceptable, adequate, valuable, and forgivable. If you’re a follower of Christ let this message penetrate your soul. If you’ve never opened your heart and life to Jesus, why not do it today?
God doesn’t hold a grudge! As one pastor put it: “He doesn’t rub it in, he rubs it out! He doesn’t rehearse it, He releases it!” If God forgives me I should forgive me!
