As Jesus promised: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you” Matthew 7:7.
Preparing for the inevitable seems like a great idea to me! Charles Spurgeon, famous for fearlessly preaching the truth regardless of what people thought of it (or him!) once said, “He who does not prepare for death is more than an ordinary fool, he is a madman.”
While we have breath we have the opportunity to be led by God, to live for God, to love because He first loved us. That’s His plan for us — plain and simple!
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Romans 8:28.
Every believer in Jesus Christ is called to yield, to submit to domestic, civil, and ecclesiastical authority established by God. If the presiding authority is tyrannical, we have the obligation to resist and support reform. This was the position of the American colonists which led to the American Revolution.
God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time.
You stand before God as if you were Christ, because Christ stood before God as if He were you.
In a loving, healthy home a kid shouldn’t have significant cares because they know Mom and Dad will be there to support, guide, encourage, protect, and provide whatever is needed. That is God’s design for the family.
Every subjective experience must measure up to the objective teaching of the Word of God. In other words: our feelings must line up with the facts.
